Get together once a month with other outstanding teens from around the county to help plan and direct the 4-H program for Utah County. Major responsibilities include the Leader's Recognition Banquet, Super Saturdays, Teen Retreat and assisting with the county fair. Take the lead on preparing and running these events for the other 4-H youth in the county.Teen Council meets on the the 4th Monday of every month at 4 pm. Our meetings are usually located at the 4-H Provo office building 100 East Center St. Provo suite L-700-900. You can call Autumn Linsley /Teen Council Adviser with any questions at 801-851-8435.
Help lead the next generation of 4-H Teen Leaders by running leadership retreats for younger 4-H members. Six to eight County Ambassadors are chosen from the Teen Council each year to take on additional leadership responsibilities in the county. The County Ambassadors are responsible for two major service projects as well as two Jr. Teen Retreats for the younger 4-Hers in the county.
Teens Reaching Youth! Reach out to the community and teach important life lessons and skills to youth in your community. One to four teens and an adult coach form a team and teach 12 hours of educational lessons to younger youth. This can be done in a variety of ways on a variety of topics. This is an awesome opportunity for youth to experience leadership and teaching in a whole new way.
